The Collio Cuvée Blanc Leopold is the greatest expression of this territory. The wine is composed of three different types of grapes. Three autochthonous grapes: Ribolla Gialla, Malvasia Istriana and Friulano. The grapes are harvested and vinified separately. Later they rest in barriques and tonneaux for about eighteen months, and only then are they blended in stainless steel tanks, where the wine lies for at least six months. In the end it is aged in the bottle for six more months.
And here it is in the glass, its light golden color and compelling bouquet, where every vineyard seems to actively take part with its own characteristics despite the contribution of the wood. Evocative floral enticements of mimosa and hawthorn interchange with hints of herbs, tomato leaf, boxwood, pineapple, cedar, lime and a small hint of banana. Mineral flavours.
The mouthfeel is brilliantly fresh and perfectly holds the punchy fruity texture. Citrussy for its extremely young age and propensity to aging, not without a subtle savoury vein, which borders the spicy and captivating sensations offered by a wood which in turn is already perfectly integrated.
